Technical Engineer Manager-电器-杭州【15-20万】


Responsibilities:

  • Act     as the key engineering point of contact and liaison with suppliers in China     for all Volution companies, currently 50+ active suppliers with over £15     Million spend.

  • Work     within matrix organisation structure, local Manager in China (Hangzhou)

  • Key     product categories support required: Electronics (mainly PCBA), Motors     (mainly AC & DC), Factored products (mainly heating, lighting,     cooling) and Plastics tooling.

  • Support     the implementation of value engineering and  cost savings across key categories     without detriment to quality of product and service levels provided

  • Support     technically (and Electronics commercially) the implementation of alternate     sources for key identified categories

  • Support     the assessment of supplier capabilities through commercial and factory     audits

  • Support     the implementation of all new product activity within Asia Pacific.

    • Tool      trials, first off production trials

  • Support     the development of detailed specifications for all products imported from     Asia Pacific, and monitor conformance to technical and performance related     specification of suppliers.

  • Develop     global electronic distributor relationships in Asia Pacific to deliver     cost savings within current electronic supplier

  • With     support from quality control resource (already in place), liaise with     suppliers to resolve quality and lead time issues and implement process     improvements.

  • Day-to-day     management of Electronics Engineer role in order to achieve the following     key objectives:

    • Alternate      PCBA component swap-out programme

    • PCBA      design changes to support value engineering

    • Volution      group Electronic database

Skills& Qualifications:

  • Graduate     in Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum     of 5 years experience in a technical engineering role.

  • Ideal     but not essential to have prior experience within Ventilation or Air     Conditioning market.

  • Ideal     but not essential to have an engineering background within one or more of     the following categories; Electronics-PCBA’s/Controllers, Motors/Fans,     Injection Moulding technology

  • Ability     to work well under pressure, prioritise and work within tight timescales.

  • Self     motivated, confident, independent with desire to pursue a career in a fast     moving environment.  

  • Highly     numerate with excellent analytical skills.

  • Proven     strong negotiation skills within commercial environment.

  • Excellent     English communication skills, both verbal and written

    • Other      EU language would be desirable, either German or Swedish

  • PC     literate with an advanced working knowledge of spreadsheets, including     Pivot tables, V-look ups, nested ‘if’ statements etc.

  • Willingness     to travel when necessary within China, staying overnight, and potentially     to other Asia Pacific countries.

    • Role      will have expected travel requirements around 20% of time.
